Cilaos, Reunion Island, France, 2022-04-10. Low participation in the first round of the presidential election in Cilaos, a small town in the highlands of Reunion Island. The turnout was 44.48%, or more than 55% of abstention. Jean-Luc Mélenchon came first, as on the rest of the island, with 49.53% of the votes, followed by Marine Le Pen with 25.07%. The current president Emmanuel Macron ranked far behind. At the end of the day, in Bras Sec, the last voters arrive.
